UPS imposes quite a few ancillary policies and procedures on their employees, more so than I'd want to deal with, such as buckling your seatbelt in the yard.

Freight is a lower wage for sure. But over 70 cpm and $27 and change for all non driving isn't bad. Freight truckload is what you're probably referring to, they have their own dedicated accounts. Next time you post, at least have a little info to back up what you're saying.

They typically do twice that many. I don't know about the whole non seat belt thing, they have telematics and sensors that show if your belt is buckled, door is closed, speed of truck, etc. They want you to hustle for your $35 an hour, don't blame them.

Where does UPSF make that rate?

I'm just curious to see where we rate by comparison.

The poor pax in your cab aint gonna see &^%$. I had a wife who only saw part of the 10 or so trailers I pushed over a hill once. She did not see the whole problem that day.

Part of me thinks maybe you did hit him.

Part of me thinks you speak well. So That leaves doubt. If a Boss man thought the same, you are gone. Nothing personal. There is 50 more waiting to get out of orientation to replace you.

They deffinately hustle but there's no reason to be speeding thru a residential neighborhood. Not all do that but it happens a lot.Far as seatbelt they buckle up as they're just starting to drive.

Because the "tattle tail" doesn't kick in until the truck is going 5 mph or more.

Moving a truck without a seatbelt is one of the deadly sins at UPS and the first offence can get you fired.

Sho Nuff and mjd4277 Thank this.

Oh really? The guys need a refresh on the policies. The drivers around here never buckle up till they get it in gear and start driving.I know time is money but gees take a couple seconds to put your seatbelt on.My other neighbor who's the closet to my house only feet away you should see the way UPS whips his truck in his driveway.I'd be afraid one of these days he's going to hit my garage door.
