    No, a thousand times no.

Even if the guy didn't trash the truck, he quit under a load. It may have not been a conscious action, but by disconecting the eld the driver put himself and his employer in a high risk no reward position.

If you choose to leave the truck at a non approved location, you will need to bear the costs associated with it.

I thought he was 900 miles away? I must have something wrong, cause I'm pretty sure you don't pay .10/mi...

He only drove 110 miles before abandoning the load.

I think the biggest argument against you is that W-2 and 1099 are based on employment definition and cannot be decided upon based on convenience.

Honestly I don't give a s*** about that argument. However, the change has been made that everyone is on a W2.
Being that everybody here is so overly concerned about it when it does not concern them at all. I made the change because honestly I don't trust somebody here not to run to the IRS running their mouth like a little b****.

I used to believe that people when they were adults can make their own decisions. If someone asked as in volunteered to work as a contractor, they should have the right to do so. But I want to thank all you supertruckers for deciding that everybody else should have their decisions made for them. It's good to know that the truck stop lawyers are in full effect and go to make sure that everybody understands how to run their lives.

So you decide to change your practices based on your fear of getting caught and you chose to blame OTHER PEOPLE? Just checking to be sure I've got this right.

I change the policy because I don't want to deal with crap from Super Trucker lawyers like you.

Years ago I went to work for an O/O. The guy had around 20 trucks.

We were all paid on 1099 and no one griped or complained about it. If you did, you'd be looking for another job.

Maybe everybody should get paid on a 1099, I'd bet taxes wouldn't be half what they are now. Not to mention health care, which is only so expensive because for a lot of people, somebody else is paying for it.
