I love how people don't bother to ask for facts and assume everything. He actually voluntarily took a four-hour Greyhound from the terminal of his former employer over to me. But hey go ahead and make all the assumptions you want without any facts. Just makes you look like a complete #######. Actually offered to let him stay here at my house that night but he decided to stay in the truck with the Apu because he had to leave at 4 a.m. to go pick up the load. But please make all the assumptions you want because apparently you're so smart and know everything.

Thankfully I do have one. And I'm sure there are plenty more out there that make decisions and statements based on information vs uninformed opinion.

yeah, millennials need a loooong pre-work break followed by intense coddling before they actually go to work.

hey nightgunner,i used to do the hiring and firing,i know what you're up against. as far as this place is concerned you're better off just coming here to read the BS stories about popping wheelies and smoking mustangs in an old cabover.

That's what I was thinking at first. He finally told me the real problem is that he had a court date on Monday that if he didn't show he would do 30 days in county. Shoot, if he had told me that before he started, I would have had him wait until after it was resolved. I have no problem helping out those with a past like him, we all have a past. Just don't lie to me about it and run. Be a man and own it.

Of course. That's how an internet discussion works.

You don't have to justify anything to anyone that knows better, because we've been there and done that.

Yes it is remarkable that someone would unplug an ELD with the intention of violating HOS regulations on day 2 of their new job, I don't care what anyone else thinks. Thanks for posting this topic.
