Update: I took off late Monday with my first load, 3 loads, 3 tank washes, home last night for my 34, and grossed $6k.
One was simple latex, the 2nd was Hot 3057, and the 3rd was Hazardous Class 9. The third smelt funny, so I didn't taste. The other 2 gave me diarrhea.
The first tank wash took 7 hours, so I only had enough time to drive and load afterward. But the customer let me take a 10 hour inside the property after they loaded me. The second tank wash - I dropped Friday afternoon and bob tailed to the truck stop to eat, shower, and sleep. Saturday morning picked up my tank and went to load. The 3rd tank wash - I dropped the tank at Bristol Qualawash and came home for a 34 hour.
It was a nice easy week and I really enjoyed making the money without having to ride hard. Plus it allowed me to get to know my tank, truck, and QC.
Things must still be slow, because they have no dispatch for tomorrow, but will on Wednesday. If the loads continue to pay good, I'll enjoy an extra day off here and there anyway.
Keep it real, and ride easy my friends. More to come...........stormy379, Blue4ever, 88 Alpha and 1 other person Thank this. -
Total miles for the week?
-
6k sounds good, how much for fuel and tank washes?
-
That's sort of deceiving, because I hit the tripometer when I got to my terminal las Monday. That is where I picked up my empty tank and went to Alsip to load; which isn't far from Joliet. When I parked her in Fox Lake last night - I had 2800 miles for the week. I gues that is still a good idea of mileage, plus that will include all mileage - bobtail, empty, and loaded.Cat sdp Thanks this.

You gotta figure all miles anyways.....
-
No idea on the tank washes, because that gets billed to my terminal. We don't pay for the tank wash.
Fuel - I put in $850, and the funny thing is my gauge is exactly where it was when I left the house last week. That'd be roughly 4 to 425 gallons with fuel hovering at $2
