The OM and I are once again shocked and appalled Kenworth drivers breaking ranks and telling it like it is.

All fleet speced trucks are junkers IMHO. I have seen windshields fall out of the FL crapcadia when pulled into the shop.

    D.Tibbitt and 201 Thank this.

sounds like you got a lemon, it happens. seems quality has gone downhill for every brand in the last 10 years or so. we've been running nothing but KW since 1967 in some of the harshest conditions known to man. only other trucks that make it any length of time up here are Petes and Stars. everything else is disposable.

AModelCat, Whiteline64, 201 and 2 others Thank this.

Problem is he didn’t buy a true KW. He bought a plastic KW and apparently a lemon one at that.

Ok . What is a “true kw”? And had I known it was a lemon, are you implying I lack intelligence and just bought it ? Oh yes sir , I wanted all these expenses and headaches . 10/4.

A true KW is a C500, T800, or W900. Huckbolted aluminum cab trucks built in Renton Wa. Nope not implying you lack intelligence. Just saying you bought the fleet spec computer assembled KW is all and unfortunately it turned out to be lemon one with crappy dealer service.

    spsauerland and AModelCat Thank this.

Having bought parts from MHC Kenworth for years and now having to get Freightliner parts and checking with the local Neely Coble I can say Freightliner is waaaaaay overpriced on everything I have looked at so far. They make MHC look good which is unreal. They wanted $150 each for the OEM Sachs brand front axle shocks that I found online for $50 each.

They must give fleets substantial discounts to stay in business being so uncompetitive as they are like that on routine parts. I won't even check prices with them on anything now unless it is Freightliner only parts. And of course any Freightliner dealer in the country is happy to ship so I doubt Neely Coble will ever see a penny from me. It's crazy how they treat small fish o/o as if we have no choices out here.

    Whiteline64 and spsauerland Thank this.
