well guys, i'm sorry but i dont have the list of everything else we did in class. sorry about that. i was hoping to stay up on this thread for anyone.

basically, the first 2 weeks are monday - friday 8am - 4:30pm of class work. during those first 2 weeks you get a couple days on the drive range. 1 day is a lab on coupling. there is another day that is a lab on pre trip.

after those 2 weeks you have 1 - 2 days of drive time a week. each day is in 4 hour blocks. you have a total of 9 days i believe, so it takes 3 - 4 more weeks. there is no more class work. just the little bit of drive time each week.

most of the time is 1 on 1. instructor with student. that is really cool. i read about some of these schools that cram 8 people in a truck and give each one 10 or 15 minutes of drive time and not everyone even gets that. i'm really impressed with SAGE and Carter Express.

Tomorrow is my day 3 of drive time. 4 hours of backing and maneuvers. maybe a pre trip and post trip also. tomorrow i will also get next weeks schedule and i should be out on the road.

I went to Carters website, adn no mention of new hire training there. How did you get hired as a new hire trainee?

they are hiring like crazy. i knew someone that works there (i know several people actually) and used one of them as a referral. i doubt its referral based only, but maybe it is. feel free to use me as a reference. if you pm me, i'll give you the name and number of who to speak to with your questions or to get the ball rolling.
