first day of school

well 1st day of school went good. we spent 7am till noon in the classroom doing paper work/log books. then we went and played with the truck. here are a few pics.

 

Well we did the ally dock and side step all day. I did better my first 2 times and then i tried helping the other guy and i started making goof-ups. Instructor said i was doing good with only being my 2nd day in a truck. (I have a gooseneck horse trailer so i think it helps for backing) He said try shifting. 2-3-4-3-2. up shifting went easy but downshift NOT SO GOOD. I did a bunch of reading on here and i think it will go better tomorrow. i was bringing it up to 1800 and i see its better to go around 13-1400.

 

We did more class room and truck driving, I did a bunch of 90 degree alleyway backing and offset backing with out to many problems. We then did a Z like pattern and tried not to run over any cones. 1st round, all 5 of us had issues and then we all did fine. Teacher said book work for the 1st half of class Thursday and he will take us on the road before the end of the day.

Its all starting to fall into place. Up-shifting is no problem but down shifting is still a tuff one, getting better.

 

today is the BIG day. test day with the DMV Instructor

 

I passed, I'm so relieved it's over.
