First fleet teams out of Phoenix Arizona

Low pay. That's all I got for you.

 

I drove for First Fleet for a short period of time. Got a load of holiday candy and told to do a drop & hook at the Phoenix terminal because the stores didn't want the candy for 2 or 3 more weeks. Rolled in to the Phoenix terminal and the guy in the office chewed me out, saying I'm trying to con his drivers into making the store deliveries because I'm lazy. He told me not to drop the trailer, but to make the deliveries. So, in spite, I did just that, knowing it would cause problems for him. Each store took their order, but really upset about it because they didn't have storage space and it wasn't time for that particular holiday candy. One store wasn't even opened; it was closed for refurbishment and wouldn't open for another month.
I took those two pallets of candy back to the Phoenix terminal and another guy started in on me about making the deliveries and complaining that I should have done a drop & hook. I said, well that's your problem because your night dispatcher told me otherwise, so take it up with him.
I said, now I'm late delivering an empty trailer to Los Angeles for another drop & hook heading to Tennessee, so your night guy can explain that also.
First Fleet is a crappy company.

 

I lasted 2 weeks with them.
That's all it took for me to figure out
I made a mistake by wasting my time with them.

 

I was living in Vegas at the time. You must be
Somewhere in that area.
I almost went to Andrus.

Talked to one of their drivers. He said they made about
1000 bucks gross every 10 days.
Never bothered with them after that.

 

Well def is over 30% Urea after all. Urea can be a byproduct of urine but I'm sure def uses synthetic Urea for control purposes

With first fleet it depends on the terminal . Each terminal is run differently ; Some are awesome and some suck .

In Phoenix if you run teams doing either the Reno run ,Denver,or the Holsum/Flowers food gig ,you will make that $1400 per week avg or more ! I worked for Ruan in Phoenix and worked very closely with firstfleet, we even pulled their trailers during peak season.
