Thanks for the tips, guys. I don't know how early I'll be able to get in. The appointments are 9 and 11 am. The pickup for this load was miserable. Crowded con agra foods, in the rain, dropping the empty trailer in the mud. Maybe that means the drops will be comparatively easy.
Rude people/drivers...lots of ####ing rude people/drivers and the worse streets you'll ever drive on.
You've obviously never been there. Either that or you're easily intimidated by a little traffic. There are many cities that I find to be more unpleasant than NYC.
NYC is just another city.after a few times delivering there u get use to it.it does take extra planning though, one wrong turn can ruin your entire day.I made a delivery there and I had at least 10 turn.I was close but yet so far.only a mile to the receiver but took well over an hr to get there.
I have several times, and the person claiming its no different than Chicago is full of it... I drive Chicago daily... We don't have a GWB here that takes 2 hours to cross. Like someone said above if NYC was just like Chicago and Dallas you wouldn't see tons of job listings that say 'NO NYC"...
I looked at my first stop on Google earth. I get the feeling I'm going to be parking on the street. It's a bakery, and I have no idea where they're going to put 7 pallets worth of flour.
