First time I have ever done this, hope it's the last

I keep looking for a load even after I get a verbal commitment. I've had a many occasions where the conformation never came through just to find out the load was canceled. Well, not canceled. I'm sure they found someone cheaper.

I've hauled many cheap loads to get back to a good area. I've run the numbers and it made the difference between making $1.40 for all miles and $1.68 for all miles by taking the cheap freight.

Over a period of one month that would make a difference of $2,800 in my pocket. It's not rocket science.

 

Amen, mc8541ss. EXACTLY the way to survive driving into those places that can be impossible to get out of. And, the brokers know it. A few sensible ones will figure it into the price. Yeah, very rare, I know.
