Just pull up and smile, act like you know what your doing, have your bills registration, permits, ect. ready if they ask for them.
Know whats in the box and where its going. And have your log current !!! Other than that theres not much to tell. -
Wiseguywireless, Desiredname, Preacher Man and 3 others Thank this.

Have paperwork ready and DON"T stop on the scale, just roll slow over it and do what the lights say too.
HAVE LOG BOOK CURRENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!muscletruck7379 Thanks this. -
Grow a long black beard, wear a turbine, dont look at them, and tell them you dont know what your pullen. Im sure youll be fine...LOL...Just kidding. the above posts are good. One more thing. If you know your going to be hitting a port stop b4 your get there and check your lights and a quick check for leaks dont givem a reason to pull you in for an inspection. Oh yeah dont tailgate trucks on the off ramp or in line.

follow advice given, i'll just add, do good pre-trip(just in case of inspection). but just routine rollin' through they look for the obvious, lights, tires, suspension, etc.......stuff they can see from tha nest. when you're at your terminal pick up spare kit (lights, fuses, etc) just in case of........
follow posted signs, signal lights......some scales want windows down, lights on; it's usually posted...........nuthin' 2 it, relax......be safe -
panhandlepat and Joetro Thank this.

i though that you were suppossed to stop for each set of axles... idling through in low the usual?
pre-trip is no worry though, i got a nice truck and my employer wants it to stay that way. not to mention the 5 years of spinning wrenches i have done.
what i'm hauling is easy: corn.
great advise guys, I'll work on the beard and beware of the glove! -
Every scale is different....
Sheridan P.O.E. on the 25 has 80' scales so axle weight is not an issue, rather gross weight is.
St. George, UT is roll through at 10 mph while Castiac is roll through at 3 mph.
Every coop is different...don't sweat it.
