Well Merry Christmas to all. I'm sitting at a petro in Portage, Wi for Christmas. I did not request time off this time.
Anyway, tomorrow I pick up my first meat load. Have an mty trailer and will get it washed out because I do not know at this point if I am doing a live load or drop. Going to Super Value Value, New Station, Pa.
Any advise/info?

If picking up at a meat plant make sure you get the trailer washed out regardless of it being a drop or a live load. If you drop that trailer it still needs to be clean for when they need it to load. If it isn't clean, and there are no other trailers there that can be used, we can end up losing the load.

Check ahead with the shipper if they do washouts... it is written sometimes in the macro 19 directions. It can save you alot of hassles if you are in the middle of no-where
Alot of these meat plants will have you drop your trailer at a washout bay (even if you paid to have it washed out off site)... others have you park it in the bay, wait for a thumbs up from the worker, and then have you drop it.
There is one in NE where its and automatic washout... you park it in the dock and wait for a green light.
Just dont count on every meat plant having a washout. -
Watch the temps close. At Trans-Am my one tyson load had sensors in it.
