The Omnitracs is the easiest ELD I have used. I ran with one for 2 years in my 2005 International 9900ix and it just worked. Never had a problem and never had to call for technical support.
Once I finish my truck shopping for my next truck in the next couple of months I know whatever I buy will get the Omnitracs unit.G13Tomcat and Dieselboss Thank this. -
I will never sign anything. Even if safety calls me for a “safety” issue related to their bogus sensors and cameras. They want you to sign because it’s an omission and allows the company to hold leverage over you if you want to leave and get a new job. Then they can be like, “hey remember those two times you rolled through the stop signs a little bit? We’re going to have to report you as an unsafe driver to your perspective new employer.” “After all you agreed to it the incidents, we have your signature right here, might as well just keep driving for us”
Never sign anything along those lines. Quit and get a new job before you do.
To add to this, I’ve literally told my employer. “I don’t play those games, I’m straight up, 100%. Show me basic respect and I’ll work my ars off for you, Try and manipulate and leverage me? You’ll be dealing with me on a personal level. I don’t play those games and they’re all too common in this industry. A lot of drivers need to learn to stand up for yourself.Dieselboss and Chinatown Thank this. -

Sounds like a good reason to inform your company that you are using paper logs until they get their #### together.Lennythedriver Thanks this.

I'll admit that if the machine malfunctioned, I would not hold that against you. When we have had that issue in the past, they absolutely run on paperlogs while we try and fix the issue.

We DO, do YOU?!?!?
@Chinatown IS THE GURU. For reals. Mean that. -
Yep, had the charging 'back plate' of my QC go out a couple weeks ago. Wife charged it nightly at home until I had the shop fix the plate/charger thingy, but...the day it went out, paper it was. Always have a 'backup' plan, my ma'am~!

Working for family can be a blessing, and also a curse.
The risk of the relationship going sideways is high.
What, besides cpm will ‘Uncle’ have to offer?
