first of all I own a fitzgerald glider getting repairs done on the road is not a issue these motors have been around for over 20 years every one has parts and they are very easy to work on. But they do not break down might be a freak thing but not every day. For some reason there are people on this forum that want you believe Fitzgerald's 12.7 is a poorly built engine but they do not own one just make statements. Again you can get a reman Detroit 12.7 from Clarke or a in house 12.7 from Fitzgerald's it is your choice when you order your truck. Just got 8.1 mpg last tank driving 62 and 78990 in a tanker no epa stuff to repair no DEF you make the choice.

$1000 reward for info to catch someone who stole 10 wheels/tires from Fitz. They put an ad on the local radio station last week; I heard it.
Off topic but still a Fitz tidbit of news. -

I can't see the government not getting involved with the gliders and emissions. There is too much money on the table and too many opportunities to make bad decisions here. If uncle scam decides to adopt the carb standards nationwide, the law suits go away, a boat load of tax revenue is generated off the sale of all those new trucks that will have to be bought to replace the gliders and non carb compliant trucks, and somewhere somebody will get hooked up with a sweet contract to take all the non-emissions trucks and export them to some third world country, and I bet uncle scams hands will be involved in that deal too. I remember seeing a t2000 years ago that was heavily modified, I think it was built with current technology, extreme aerodynamics, and if I'm correct it got over thirteen miles per gallon. I beleive no tax payer money was spent on the project either. It just seems every time we as a country discuss emissions or fuel economy the only thing ever guaranteed is we will try to make it expensive as possible, with little regard for actual results.

russtrucker, what color blue is your T-600? I'm getting a new hood and full paint job on mine this week. It's black and I thought of painting it Speedway Blue but it's metallic and costs, with everything, almost $3000 just for the paint. I think I'll just paint it white (Sherwin Williams Genesis) and put some fancy graphics on it. I'm done with black - too darned hot in the summer.
