    Hi
I have a 2005 FL70 White Freightliner dump truck and my clutch went out. I have a Cat engine and Mercedes trans. I installed an aftermarket clutch 2x and they didn’t work. Now I’m dumbfounded about why they don’t make this clutch anymore. The dealer says the clutch is back ordered and they only have aftermarket clutch which hasn’t worked… still slips. Any body have this issue before? Thank you

The eaton medium duty clutches have 2 different release bearing strokes. A standard stroke and a short stroke. Maybe the wrong stroke was installed. Also do not adjust clutch by all the linkage. I know linkage has two different adjustment points to add to confusion. The clutch adjusts internally and the linkage can be fine tuned to get the proper free play or pedal position after the internal adjustment is done. Adjusting by linkage alone will fubar it and slips galore.

    062 Thanks this.
