    I don't have a CB. Most don't.

I flash during day. Headlights off. Turn lights off at night. And i only warn trucks. I could care less for the cars.
I do it for cops and deer. ETC.

It was on Pine Island Rd, in Plantation Florida. The year was 1997, so less than 30 years ago, but I am a liar so you won't believe me anyway.

    You are exactly right!
I remember when the speed limit was still 55 in most states and there used to be a lot more cops out there. The speed limit is plenty fast enough. Drivers used to let you over when you put your signal on but that's a rarity now.

What if i told you. That even a brand new truck and trailer won't keep the cops away. And you don't have to be breaking any laws.

Thats quite a generalization dont cha think?

Im 27, been out here for 5 years.... I guess I have been fooling myself that I know a little something about nothing. Teach me how to drive? Please!

Lol. I dont really care. I will say though I am jealous. I didnt get the opportunity to drive a 379 flat top out of my mom and land on the interstate grabbing gears. :notworthy:

Old timers are sissies too. <innacurate generalization. :cya:

Not true.......that WAS the universal signal as far back as I can remember....watching dad in the 50's doing the headlight switch deal on/off, on/off

Back when cb's were standard equipment for all drivers and they all worked good and everybody used them (70s-80's) .... high beam flashing was still the go-to action for both truckers and motorists alike when the police with radar were nearby or animals were on the road, or whatever else important was going on behind them.

Day or night, it was a very effective system and was always properly used and everybody could participate and benefit from it, trucker or not.

Too many rookies complaining about the ways truckers once did things. From logs to warnings.

    SMH.

If someone flashed their highbeams at me I wouldn't have the foggiest idea why except maybe something wrong with my equipment.I personally think its dumb to warn others about a cop especially if the person you're warning isn't doing anything wrong.
