Flatbed companies recommendations for first year drivers

Melton Trucklines has a Terminal in Birmingham. Melton trucks go 64mph which is frustrating and you will in a mega company again. Maybe you don’t mind that.

 

I've bs'ed with Melton guys on the CB and they've all been happy workin there.

 

You can get good training on flatbed with Melton. I stayed with them for exactly 2 years and no regrets. I won’t go back but still, no regrets.

 

Hornady also has guaranteed weekly pay; can make more, but not less than the guarantee; $1200.00 weekly. Website says they're committed to diversity, so they must haul a variety of freight.

 

That mean transgender or gender non-specific is a plus.

 

Bulldog Hiway Express looks good; it's one of the Daseke companies.
Bulldog Line Haul drivers average a gross weekly pay of $1,300.
Heavy Haul drivers earn a weekly salary starting at $1,320.
