Could be, you know more about that plant than I do. On the couple the times I saw felt paper come in like that, the guys had to wrap straps around the top layer like a belt around the waist, and the bottom layer underneath it “to keep them from blowing out”
Hard to imagine rubber roofing would hold up any better.
I feel like that’s a good load for a van trailer.
@Cat sdp big Kenny told me a couple years back that a friend of his is like a shift supervisor or something (?) at that plant off 101 in Brentwood, n that those loads are big fleet specials running at like $1.30 all in. -
$1.30 into a black hole....... perfect.
already gone, RollinThunderVet, JonJon78 and 1 other person Thank this. -
whoopNride and Ruthless Thank this.
-
I only remember it being 2 or 3 rows in the middle? -
All I know is it required 8’ tarps and 16 corner boards so I dont haul them anymore.whoopNride, cke, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yall got me kinda glad I can only scale 44k. It cuts out about half of the flatbed market, which oddly enough seems to be the cheapest and heaviest products being moved... lol
-
It was probably tar paper rolls...
-
.....so, you don’t like the heavy stuff because it’s cheap; but want to move heavier than normal bc you think it’ll be nice? More cheap = still cheap.....cke Thanks this. -
Out west( at least when I was pulling a box) there is very little freight. And what was there, was usually 46-48k, which I couldn't haul.
Now that I can split axles and maybe take one of those 48k loads, it would be beneficial in a dead area.... wouldn't that be better than waiting days for a lighter load?
