After a less than stellar year I am debating several things one of which is maybe leasing onto a company with my stepdeck. But not really sure if that is a good or bad thing. I know most of the pros and cons. ( ie: insurance savings, fuel discounts etc,)
I have read in certain posts along the way of guys that are leased onto some companies that are netting 8 to 10k a month but I cant find any of those posts to see what companies they are with.
One of the companies that I have actually hauled for in the past is looking for o/o's to lease on with them. They are saying they are one of the best paying companies ----now the thing is that they are saying loads are paying
2.00 -3.00 per mile but after their 25% cut that really means 1.50 - 2.25 in real pay.
I currently run the spot market and load boards and can get that on my own or more per load.
So am I missing something? When I have talked to brokers in the past - alot of them would tell me that the outside carriers actually make more per load than the carriers leased onto them.
SO I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone replies with who they are with and if they do actually make good money--- In a no forced dispatch company.
flatbed stepdeck o/o's leased to companies
