Flatbed VS Van : What are some of the pro's and cons?

    Honestly, I think i could be on the road sooner with prime, get my year of experience then move onto maybe mcelroy or btc, get my guaranteed weekends home. Maybe even save up, get a truck and drive for a local o/o company. Who knows, as long as the family is taken care of.

    I pull any Wagon the Boss says Pull. Do Over Size myself. Van Drivers are just like us. Un Load your own trailer once :)

    As i was, prime is not on the va's list. Guess ill be talking more to swift.

    The con of flatbedding is that you work for Swift,lol.
    No,seriously I might consider going to their flatbed training one of these days to mix things up, flatbedders,esp.owner operators can make a bit more $$ at the end of the day

    No you don't get to choose. However... if you claim "It smells aweful!", you will get to choose another ready truck, if there are others.

    Well, I can tell you this much...you find the dirtiest guys in the truck stop and they are probably flat bedders...thats me, then again...I enjoy a good days work...i enjoy staying physical.
