When using a winch bar, how much pressure (downward force) do you apply to achieve WLL?
Example would be for pallets of bagged sand/concrete or steel tubing.

Just get it as tight as you can. You will NEVER even approach the WLL of ANY strap or chain just tightening it with a winch bar.
I would routinely put the bar parallel to the ground and put ALL my weight on it, Actually hopping on it and getting all my weight off the ground. You won't break a thing.
And after you have gone 15 or 20 miles don't forget to stop and tighten them again.Hanadarko Thanks this. -

Let me clarify may request.
My question is an actual number that says 'x' amount of force on a 34" bar will achieve approximately 2200 lbs

100 to 140 lbs sounds like a lot to apply with just your arm to 10 plus winches on a load
and Floridaheavyhauler do you way 90lbs or 300?
Nothing personal about your weight is needed,
Just that our weight differences will make different amount of tension on the strap...

I've approached the WLL of a few chains. Snapped them in fact, on purpose. Kept on doing it until the company gave up trying to save money by buying the cheapest chains they could find.
Figure you're going to be pushing down on it so if you weigh 100lbs or more, you can put that much force on it pretty easily. I weigh around 200lbs and I can put enough force on it to bend the bar. -
you need to think of the product also. wallboard you go till it starts to sink in with the corner protection under it. steel you can jump up and down and get it tight. shingles can't be to tight or there will be some damage too. it's best to go with your instincts, tighten and then take a good look.
chains are different, get em tight, then get em tighter.

On a side note I think those Cinch winches are stupid expensive. -
