I was wondering if any one knew of a flatbed company that hauls mostly lumber or building materials?? I would like to find one that does that kind of hauling but I have not been having much luck, I know it is hard for a company to limit themselves to one specific commodity especially in this time, but maybe someone knows of one around or in the Pa. area. Thanks guys and girls.

The only co I know that is primarly building materials is mcelroy. They are down south ,but a friend of mine said they just got a account around baltimore and are going to put on several daycabs in that area. For me building materials have really slowed down.

Why do you want to haul heavy freight? More wear and tear.

Anderson Trucking Service (ATS), E.W. Wylie Corp. and Lone Star are three who specialize in Heavy Haul.

Each load is a challenage. Loading, securing and hauling. It's great if you can handle the permited routes. Sometimes they don't make any sense, but that's the gov. for you.lol

Maybe because a 48,000 lb. load pays a lot more than a 20,000 lb. load without noticeably more wear and tear .
