No I have slowed down. Last week was part my fault. As I did not leave till tuesday and was empty due to a dentist appt. This was my worst week with them. My load cancelled. I got another load. Dropped it and picked a load that delivers monday. Was home late wednesday night, but only had one run on that weeks check.

We have been fairly busy, most of the runs have been short in the 200 mile range.

Been pulling everything but flats. Curtains, vans, and even..... a reefer. I just got back under a spread today and it is a grand total of 98 miles.

Hey, let's stick to the OP. The rates thread is somewhere else:biggrin_25525:.

No one has mentioned Duct Tape!

When I was a skateboarder I picked up a load of cut channel iron, all the pieces were 6 or 7 feet long, and no 2 bundles were the same. I had sharp edges all over this load, and only had enough rags, carpet, rubber flaps, etc. to do about half the load.

Across the highway was a WalMart. I went there and bought a large box of disposable diapers (about $30) and went back to my load and began taping diapers to all those edges.

It worked too. No holes in the tarps, and the load smelled baby fresh when I unloaded.

What happened with your lease? You can PM if you want. Up until now I always thought Prime was one of the better outfits.

The reason companies do this is to make the drivers responsible instead of not giving a #### and shredding the tarps and getting the straps cut on unpadded edges.

Once I had to buy some beach towels from a dollar store next to a truck stop and rip em down for extra padding.
