Been pulling everything but flats. Curtains, vans, and even..... a reefer. I just got back under a spread today and it is a grand total of 98 miles.

No one has mentioned Duct Tape!
When I was a skateboarder I picked up a load of cut channel iron, all the pieces were 6 or 7 feet long, and no 2 bundles were the same. I had sharp edges all over this load, and only had enough rags, carpet, rubber flaps, etc. to do about half the load.
Across the highway was a WalMart. I went there and bought a large box of disposable diapers (about $30) and went back to my load and began taping diapers to all those edges.
It worked too. No holes in the tarps, and the load smelled baby fresh when I unloaded. -

What happened with your lease? You can PM if you want. Up until now I always thought Prime was one of the better outfits.
The reason companies do this is to make the drivers responsible instead of not giving a #### and shredding the tarps and getting the straps cut on unpadded edges. -
Once I had to buy some beach towels from a dollar store next to a truck stop and rip em down for extra padding.
