My FLD was proper ride height on the back. Simply didn’t move air fast enough once you were on uneven or soft ground.

This is what my cousin is running on their three trucks. They see a lot of gravel and going in and out of fields and such. He said he has it hooked up in line with the bags and it dumps air fast. Some sort of 0 psi valve.
My old boss used to run dual leveling valves on the KW 8 bag suspension, one for front/rear and one for side to side. But I couldn’t tell you how it was plumbed, sort of like I can’t recall what leveling valve I ran on my FLD 10 years ago.Dino soar, Vampire, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'll be the first to admit I do not know the physics behind dual valves but this is my best guess. With a single valve when all the bags are tied together and the truck leans, some of the air can transfer over to the other side when the truck leans. With dual valves both sides are seperated, so when the truck leans, air can't be displaced over to the opposite side.

Same with my AG200 suspension. It's not a big deal for me to hit a switch though.

My 99FLD would do the same thing coming out of my driveway. I had a dump valve on the drives and the power divider. Most times if I just used the power divider was enough. With snow or ice I needed to drop air also.
I usually could keep a faster speed and ride over the problem area.

My WS had 2 valves. One for each axle. A common thing was to connect the bags on each axle together, so air could balance side to side easier. Suppose to improve the ride. Same could be done with an Fld. Instead of each or any airbag being a dead end run, add a T, plumbing them all together. Will it help? I don’t know. My first thought is ride height too high, next is to dump the air, at least partially. That’s helped me in the past. QR leveling valve sounds promising. Basically everything that’s already been mentioned. I recall a grain hauler telling of a QR dump valve. Supposedly he’d dump it as he crossed the scale when overweight. Not sure how true it was. Maybe gas charged shocks?
