I’m in PA. Never leave the tri-state area. I have terrible luck so I’d rather do it close to home where I can easily choke someone. LOL

Good mechanic in Detroit. Not sure where your at. Definately cost a lot less than the others. If I recall, you have a 99 12.7? If it’s not a BK motor, I suggest rebuilding it with a BK kit.

Thats what we are doing. He already had a block left over from a previous customer who wrecked his truck before the engine was built. Labor is his biggest issue so far. Just can’t find anyone. He is swamped. Parts shortages weren’t an issue. He did have an issue with a vendor lying to him on a different project.

He made good progress this week so thing’s are looking up.

I had all the other stuff surrounding the engine stuffed into my tiny one car garage. Told him to make room cause it was all coming to his shop. Now I can actually get out the door.

Now you have room. Good time to paint that hood, get it out of his way.

Tiny tiny garage. The hood still won’t fit LOL. We were able to get the girlfriends car in there all winter……..back in 2016. When nothing was on the sides and all I had was a workbench against back wall.

Never pay in full. They have your money. No need for them to get your job done to get more money.

Glad you could get it back.

Ask the guy if you can do some work for him if that would help him out, dont know how proficient you are at wrenching though.

Only paid in full due to parts shortages and Covid BS. Thought that might be incentive for them. I was wrong.

I’m still driving the truck. I’d be of no use to him. I can do maintenance. And push a broom. Make stupid jokes.
