If anyone is considering becoming an owner operator for Fleet Car Carriers or anyone else I highly recommend that you talk to some of their drivers that have gone down that road and see what they have to say first. I would not go solely by what the company's feed you. Best thing to do is find out where they typically load at and see if you can talk to a handful of them at the loading yards or truck stops. I would think things through very clearly and and try putting the numbers together before you take the plunge. If I was going to become an owner operator the only way I would buy my own truck is through a financial institution which requires getting your credit score and credit report in order. I always tell people that if you aren't capable of getting your credit report and credit score in order then you're more than likely not a good candidate for becoming an owner operator or businessman.
