Lol!
I guess to be fair I should state that I am not out hauling everyday. This week it will see five loads, next week maybe two, the next couple of weeks after that maybe none.Albertaflatbed, Razororange, wore out and 3 others Thank this. -
You keep that in a locked yard with plenty of security lighting, right? And you are located where, exactly? Asking for a friendAlbertaflatbed, beastr123, Razororange and 6 others Thank this.

It needs paint - I suppose green with black highlights might not be bad looking though!
I'm getting close to thinking about an exit strategy: Do you want a pin-drop?Albertaflatbed, beastr123, Diesel Dave and 7 others Thank this. -
Hahahahaha! That's sure nough an Arkansas style exit strategy right thereAlbertaflatbed, beastr123, Diesel Dave and 5 others Thank this.

Upon reflection, sounds like a lot of work. I'd get another one but only to work the fires- sit in a chaise lounge in camp making obscene daily standby rate. Yawn. pffft. Gulp gulp.Sons Hero, wore out, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this.

A water tender sounds like less work. Oh wait, they might actually use those once in awhile!beastr123, Sons Hero, ElmerFudpucker and 2 others Thank this.

stretch trailers have different ratings for concentrated loads versus 2 point loads. You need to get a hold of the manufacturer and get that information. It could be the concentrated rating on that trailer (ie in 10’ or 12’ or 16’) is only 35 ton or maybe 40 ton.
Consistently loading concentrated loads will destroy the stretch decks over time. Yes you can do it but it is not a great idea. Part of the reason those deck boards failed is the cross member distance on a stretch trailer is farther apart than on a machinery trailer.
if you go load a material handler like a sennabogen or hard wheel forklift like a versa lift - you are going to smash every gap between cross members. Just a few examples of of knowing your equipment and its limitations.
Trailers are universal and can’t be good at everything.
you need to learn that an important part of the job is knowing when to say no. No I won’t fit, no you can’t side load, no I won’t get stuck in 10’ deep mud.
no customer is going to pay to get you unstuck or fix equipment that gets torn up- even if they “promise”.
welcome to the deep end of the pool.
there are things you could have done to minimize the damage if you had experience. You could have told the customer to get old tires and take it over the front and then into the job site or used conveyor belting to try and keep the tracks from tearing up the deck.Albertaflatbed, beastr123, IH Truck Guy and 5 others Thank this. -
It was hard to find those specs wasn’t it?IH Truck Guy, Oxbow and Sons Hero Thank this.
