    So a third party tests them, and calls them in for surprise randoms? How could a sane person take that kind of risk??? I just don't get it.

    I have not had a random in a year. IMO,they should be more frequent. This will piss some of you off, but I think the DOT should occasionally do random at weigh stations. There should be some surprise to it!

    When I worked for May trucking in the early 2000's the terminal manager would drug test you herself. You'd come in to do your laundry and relax, and she'd see you and the next thing you know you'd be giving a sample. Was certainly random and a surprise.

    I agree. DOT should give randoms too. Help make the roads safer and get rid of the less than savory characters that call themselves truck drivers.

    The driver has a facebook page. There are pics with grandkids. Someone will have to explain to them why grandad will never come home. From here on, they will have to visit him in prison.

    There are a few law enforcement agencies that do this. I believe ALL of them should. Being retired law myself, I've seen some things you just wouldn't believe.
