You make some good points. Seems strange you would pick this crash to join the site and make an issue of. Makes me wonder if you know something we don't.

We do know he was charged with being under the influence and possession of paraphernalia. Whether that played a part in the crash or not is a moot point as far as his career is concerned. He made some bad choices.

Found something that makes me wonder what really happened.

"The Flora Police Department and the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest who was seen leaving the scene of a double-fatal accident.

Police said it occurred just before 6 am Thursday at the corner of North Stanford and Route 50, east of Flora.

At this time it is unknown whether the man was involved in the accident. Police said no direct information has tied this person to the fatal accident.

Anyone with information about this accident is asked to call police or submit information anonymously through the Clay County Crimestoppers app."

Maybe Phantom has a point? It is only preliminary, so how can we be so quick to judge that 2 people were killed in the wreck, or that there was even a wreck at all???

We know there was a crash, we know 2 people died. We know Mr. Pollock swerving led to this. What we don't know is why he swerved or if it would have been any different had he not been under the influence.

Cops are looking for a 'person of interest'. The lexicon changes but I don't think person of interest is usually used for someone they just think to be a witness.

No matter what led to the crash 2 are dead and Mr. Pollock will live with his bad decisions.

    Let's be realistic here.

What does someone crashing a truck into oncoming traffic resulting in two fatalites have to do with someone's worthiness to drive because they failed a hair test due to having smoked a joint on their day off 2 months ago?

This driver was charged with DUI - drugs. People who use illegal drugs tend to have VERY poor judgement. That is what it is about.

I seen no where it said meth. But like you I assume it is. Paper or E-log a meth head is gonna get high. Even if E--log says no driving. They will find something to keep them occupied. What goes up must come down eventually. Paper or E-log doesnt matter sleep is coming at that point. So again i ask how is E-Log gonna help a #### drug problem. The idiot in the seat is the problem here every time. Not his method of logging or whether they are an owner operator or company driver.

My point is that if a guy is willing to drive an 80,000 lb truck high, with the actual drug paraphernalia onboard, he is probaby not logging legal either. I would expect to see additional charges filed relating to that.

This idiot was driving while high. He deserves to be crucified.

However, the one that twists one up in his living room to smoke on his weekend off is hardly in the same league with this knucklehead that snuffed out two innocents.

So driving high but logging legal is somehow better if its logged legally?

It might surprise you to know that I am a proponent of drug decriminalization. I just draw the line at active CDL holders.
