My wife and I have decided that this past winter was our last in SC and we're going back to Florida this summer. Either the winters are getting colder or we're getting older, we just can't stand the days on end of sub freezing temperatures.

The company I work for doesn't operate in Florida, like most others. Can anyone recommend a good company to drive for, that I could get home to the east coast of central Florida on a regular basis? I'm a flatbedder, but would consider a dry van.

I've noticed a Florida boat hauler company has been advertising in the classifieds lately (in the St. Pete times). I think they require 2 years OTR experience and will probably train the right person about boat hauling.

    Marine vet,

Are you relocating to Brevard County? If so, please fire me off a pm. I do know Melton Truck lines hires N. of Tampa. Also you have Raven Transport that hires in FL as well. DTL hires within a 75mil radius of Orlando. Purdy Brothers of London TN hires in Central FL as well. For tank operations, you have Eagle, Kenan, Transport Service, Bynum, Oakley, Indian River, Florida rock and Tank Lines, Quality Carriers, etc.. Now ATS does hire for flatbed in FL. Heyl Truck lines does as well. If I do anything to help you out marine, let me know.
