A mixture of valiumed up snowbirds doing 60 mph with governed trucks doing 65 will go good with the rest doing 80 because you know they have to do 5 over. More news stories to come.

Why? The speed Limit for All Vehicles back in the 70's and 80's was 55Mph..thats Right double Nickle

I Started driving a Tractor-trailer in 1989......Most States East of the Mississippii were still 55mph,And Most of us were fine with that-I believe Indiana went to 60 Mph in Like 1990???

Sorry everyone, i DISAGREE with 70-75 mph speed limits on vehicles..Espoecially trucks,

    2 reasons right here
1.The Tires on your truck are not rated for 75mph especially on Hot asphalt
    2. Too Many inexperienced ....Highways have Tripled in Traffic volume in the last 20 years.(Thats High)

I Still drive 55-60 mph No Matter what state im in generally.......Im Just Used to that Kind of Rhythm...I'll get there a Few minutes after you do, I Promise

This isn't the 70s, I can't see how anyone could think that a vehicle traveling 10-15 and even 20 mph slower than the flow of traffic as being safe...

Wannabee Huh? i drive a safe speed over 20 years now...Same equipment for 15 years......Yes, 55-60 mph for me is safe, You can have the Left Lane all you want....

The Last time I Had a conversation with someone about speed, They Won! They Won the unltimate prize

I agree, I sit out there about 62-65, better fuel mileage and I get there and not all stressed out about running hard.

Theres a time and a place for everything. Busy with a lot of traffic I run a bit slower. Middle of the night I am up around 73. Cops leave you alone in this neck of the woods. Might cost a little more at the pump but then again time is money for me. If I am aimed towards the house I just assume get there sooner.
