I just found out today from the job placement director for my school that I'm accepted with Cypress Truck Lines. My orientation will most likely be next week. I test out and graduate on Thus. and sign paperwork with the job placement director on Fri. I'll find out my orientation date then and keep you posted. I wonder if they will send me to the Tampa or Jax location for the orientation.

Keep us posted. IM looking at Cypress so it would be good to know how things go.

I just read on the Cypress website that they pay $100 a day for orientation. Alot of beginner companies don't pay anything for orientation. Getting paid to be interviewed .... sounds good to me!!!

Whether it makes a difference or not to you is up to you, but from what I gather when you're employed by Cypress you're not actually employed by them, you are an employee of TLC Leasing out of Indiana, it might be Illinois not sure. What does this mean to you as the employee? I'm really not sure, and at the same time I'm not really sure why Cypress doesn't handle all the employee relations, if any of you working for them could shed some light on this I'm sure others of us on here would be appreciative. I've entertained going to their dump division, I just don't understand the workings of the employer/employee relationship.
