This is on Premier website, but don't let that stop a driver from applying. Many companies have some leeway on hiring and extra training available. Always apply even if a driver doesn't think there's a chance of being hired. Try to always do the online application and submit it, before any phone calls.

 

Their driver ad says they require 1 year experience.

It does. But I can guarantee you this is his first driving job.

 

So he got creative on this resume lol.

A huge reason why local jobs require experience is there is a LOT of backing in local jobs and many can be in tight areas.

High risk of someone fresh out of cdl school backing into stuff.

 

He didn't lie on his resume. He applied and they hired him. Simple as that.

 

Many companies have "one yr. exp. required" but still hire drivers right out of cdl school.
All companies 'prefer' experienced drivers, but can't find them, so have some waiver policy to hire new cdl school grads.

That's why we say, "Submit online application before any phone calls."
It's easy for someone sitting at a desk to say "NO" to a phone call.
An online application is in the computer system with all the information about the applicant. This greatly increases the applicants chances of being hired.
