OK! If its not true. Than way are they having job interviews. I'm sitting hear watching them go threw the hole deal. For hiring management for the old flying J's or the new pilot. To management of the subways, Also team leaders to cashiers.
Its a big hiring job fair at the pilot on 99Th and off I-10 Phoenix,AZ. There are people coming from all around the area to apply for a job. He even telling other to go to the web site for hourly job posting.
Some other info is there are about 200 pilots now and bring in about 58 billion a year. They are going and going to buy 200 flying J's by 90 days.
This big wig from pilot interviewed 20 people for the general manger to day. Was going to pick from the top 5 the rest would be interviewed again for the manger job.
All salary. One lady laughed at him when he said 40,000 a year for manager. Turned down to chance.
The government worried about monopoly. How many choose do have when it comes to the power in your home. Oh I don't like there service and I'm going to who.monopoly.
How about health care. Who did you vote for. monopoly.
Cell phone companies have many names if you look there really only 5. And one just keep getting bigger. guess who. monopoly yes. they have different names but the money is still in one bag.
Gas!!!!monopoly. different names but only one seller of oil. opec. Trains only two companies. soon only one.
Well we live in a world where you can believe what you want to.
I still believe in what I see and hear. that's what i was implying.
Do I like the idea! No! I like option. And I thank you do to. There is one option I like that is to follow up on old information. That way it not old news.
But this big wig from pilot could have done the whole thing as a buff. To see you was watching. He could be a very good liar. I could got one of his cards if you were looking for a job. I believe he used the word relocating and paying for it.For the GM.
Just putting it out there. -
Mainly because after talking to many different Flying J personnel and them advising that the merger was not approved.
Second, checking the web site for Pilot and finding that there is no new information on it concerning the Flying J since announcement in July 2009 about the merger.
Third, checking the Flying J website and no new information found. -

How can it become a monopoly when you have Love's, Sapp Bros', T/A...and a bunch of independents?

This (July 31, 2010) seems to be the date that Flying J will come out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy and then the debate starts with will the merger go through with Pilot or not.
One theory is that it can't since both are from Red States and the FTC under the current administration will not allow it.
On the other hand, if Flying J makes an effort to sell off assests that don't necessarily end up with Pilot, then, it may make the merger more bearable to the FTC.
Otherwise, the combined power of Flying J and Pilot will make an 800 pound gorilla in the trucking industry that can do whatever it pleases. -
Here's Pilot's history for those that don't know.
