Pilot likely won't ruin the "J"....they want the O/O's money too.

They are simply entering into another area of the market...travel centers (as opposed to fuel stops like most Pilots are)

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next year.

I expect you will see a loss of the areas that are now visible for drivers. It is wasted space and Pilot does not care what happens to a driver as long as they buy diesel.

Its funny, several of the flying j employees i've talked to seem to think that pilot *is* going to ruing flying j. However, I go to a *LOT* of flying Js, and most of the fj employees don't think it's going to turn out to be a big deal.

Loves is another Pilot wannabe in terms of getting rid of driver lounge facilities.

I have been in a couple of TA's that do not have driver facilities either.

I think this is going to be a trend for the future.

Why would Loves or Pilots want to make drivers comfy? Bye bye to lounges, hello to Chester's and Subway. Enhanced showers: Do they mean, longer wait times? Or will the J-Crew actually teach them how to clean showers? Say goodbye to the "J" in Corning, Ca and Troutdale, Or. I figured as soon as the "J" started to take Comdata i knew the end was near.... RIP FLYING J.. We hardly knew thee... :biggrin_25521:

Hmmmm, just got a msg from my company that, now that the merger is complete, we have to use our TCH cards at the Pilots. WTF????? Wonder why that is since hooks are now accepting comdata? Also wonder if the Pilots are going to become as annoying as the hooks are with the, having to swipe your card twice to get trk and reefer fuel?
