I saw this coming...Pilot has most of the large company accounts, TA has a few as well.

Not enough little guys doing enough business to keep the J alive. And like it or not, Pilot is the superpower (the one with the $$$) of truck stops

J stopped taking ComCheck awhile back... Im sure they lost a lot of potential fuel customers because of it.

So does this mean Flying Js will become overcrowded with impossibly tight parking lots and long cashier lines now?

I doubt it...the sign will change, thats about it (possibly the coffee)

And some of the newer Pilots are pretty nice...plenty of room and parking.

Like there is a Flying J location now that isnt overcrowded, tight spaces, and long Cashier lines?...

Lack of an account or ComCheck service has never prevented me from parking there if its convienent... and I doubt the same goes for a lot of drivers.

For me, I think the only thing I will see different is more trucks using the fuel island for fuel

It has stopped me LOTS of times...I make my stops all at one time (food, fuel, bathroom, shower, etc.)

I won't take my break at a place where I can't fuel and get a free shower...its a waste of time, and time is money.

    That part is true...

I agree with you... but sometimes you have to go as far as you can go within 11 hours... or stop short because there isnt anything furthur for a good while... and sometimes that place is a Flying J.

Yes...that happens and I've done it too. But I do my best to avoid it.
