I don't know if it's just the ripon ca flying j.
But they do not add marinara sauce to their pizzas.
    It's basically a painted crust.
I heard rumors that pilot is making them out less on.
Now when I order a pizza, I want sauce on mine.
    That crap was soo dry.
Never again will I order a.pizza at any pilot or flying j

Every once in a while I’ll get a slice if it’s something new, or to remind me how bad it sucks.

Well, a pizza is not supposed to have marinara sauce; that's for pasta. A pizza red sauce has tomato sauce and paste, and oregano. Who on earth put marinara sauce on a pizza????

It's got cheese and toppings on it, so it's a "pizza" in the same sense that a cardboard pizza from the grocery store is also a "pizza" - albeit with a sky-high price.

    Stop. Buying. Truckstop. Food.

    Problem solved.

If you want a pizza, see if there is a local joint that has a big lot or shoulder parking. Get it to go and enjoy decent pizza. If they don't? See if they can deliver to your truck.
