Plan ahead, plan ahead, plan ahead
Then have a back up plan
I laugh every time I'm in Chicago and I hear someone come on the cb-
Hey, anybody know where such and such is?
    Lmao
    Really driver?
You just thought you'd get to Chicago and then use the cb to find your drop?
    Smh

Many times it is very tempting to... "...turn right. Go north on Ashland. Ignore the 12'10" sign."

Then my conscience gets the better of me.

    Lepton1 and AM14 Thank this.

I was downtown off Addison St yesterday
Once more I uttered that well versed line
    Never again!
Just before I looked up at a suddenly red light on a photo intersection
It didn't even pause at yellow
    Ca Ching!

HalpinUout, pattyj and Lepton1 Thank this.

Oh ya, and watch out for all the photo speed zones as well in Chicago.

Just remember it's about "safety" not revenue:rolleyes:

Well that's because they heard from the truck stop counter of a GPS taking a driver over a pedestrian bridge, so they are worthless.
Or they got the crappy (for OTR driver) cell phone that only works in major cities. Get 15 miles out and no service.
Or some other bs excuse drivers like to use instead of using the tools avail. And yes they grey matter between the ears is one of those tools that doesn't get used enough.

I searched for the Grey Matter app, but couldn't find it at the Playstore. Is that app only available for the iPhone?

I'm in agreement with others as far as I hope they start enforcing the no parking areas. I pulled into the big pilot on the north side of i71 in Pendleton ky last night at around 830 last night. The trucker path has it marked as full. This place is never full before 9pm. Soon as I turn the corner into the back rows I see that there are easily 20 open spots but there are already people parked along the scale, or out in the middle in front of the fuel island. Heard this morning that couple of trucks got hit last night because they were parked someplace they aren't supposed to. This parking shortage sucks, but I'm glad that when I need a place I can always buy a reserved spot because there's always a reserved spot open.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
