The community can be a difficult one, like a batch of disobedient children bent strongly on reducing the parents that raised them to tears and early grave due to grief that the kids are so mean and nasty.
Half tempted to take a bobtail over to the employee parking area and nose into the boss's parking spot and apologize since we are a paying customer fixing to draw on the endless resources and manpower of this fine establishment we should also annex any availible blacktop. And as good employees dedicated to public service you should evacuate same blacktop so we Truckers can more effectively function in a lawful society.
He he he.
FlyingJ,no parking asked to leave.

It never ends. The same old run around. So in 40 years time the police will still be running off truckers parking all over inside that particular property, once a pillar of interstate commerce and inestimatble value to the Nation in it's flexing of private Business Law?bzinger Thanks this. -
I thought most of the posters voiced it pretty well. I was going to just read the thread and laugh, but the words of the OP saying "tough" are still burning me up.
A. Trip planning, and obviously, you are not better at it than the person who called you on it. If you were, you wouldn't have to do all this "make your own" parking. Especially after being called on it once. Can't learn from your mistakes?
B. TOUGH?!?!?! That attitude has made me lose all respect. What makes you soooo important that the rules don't apply to you?
I applaud the management for running you off. I wish all truck stops, big and small, would do the same.
Have I run into full lots? Once or twice. Did it suck? Of course, but I refuse to be part of the problem, so no creative parking for me. Just roll down the road until I find a place to park, as in plan B or C.
I'm so sick of this entitlement attitude prevailing. Not everything is a right. Just because you want it, doesn't mean you're owed it. Yes, the rules apply to you, too. If I offended, grab some cocoa and go to your safe spot.Last edited by a moderator: Jan 2, 2017

That is a small Flying J, I know it well. There are actually a few good places between Vandalia and Wapakoneta(110MM) also at the 99MM. If going south best just to go on through to Florence or Walton. The rest areas in Florence KY huge along with the scales in Walton. And since we are on the topic of truck stop manors, how about parking lights on?
QuietStorm Thanks this. -
I've seen so many trks parked where they shouldn't be and like the op they say i'm not in your way.Well if they weren't I wouldn't have had to wake them up at 2 am telling them to move it.Believe me you wouldnt like my wake up call, lol.

The best time to drive is at night then you'll never have any trouble finding a place to park.

Alright, enough with the name calling please.
bottomdumpin, scottlav46 and x1Heavy Thank this. -
I don't really mind people parking in nonspots. Sometimes it blocks off spaces that open later on when the early birds get going. But usually there is still a way to get in the spot. But if the lot is icy and covered with snow I'll try whatever spot is availible at least once and if it starts slipping around too much as I back in I'll just say "nah" and go somewhere else. There is always somewhere to park, god forbid it's not less than 100 feet from the door of some place.
I do agree that some people pick retarded places to park though, probably just lazy, but that's not my problem. My only problem is what happens with my rig. -
tscottme Thanks this.
