Time will show. But the truth is that many of us are arriving at smaller independent truck stops to park without giving them any business except using their toilets. So I propose lets buy some fuel every time we're there for the 8-10 break so they don't close for good. Let's keep "ma and pa" fuel stops alive and let's give them Flying Js truck stops some competition. Yes! Yes!

Let me say this one of my daughter work at one of the FJ and she said dad these nasty driver come in take there shower then let it go on the floor and walkout I said no way a driver would do that now I was at the pilot in Jackson GA and a older guy and his wife walk in went in the restroom and his wife went to the lady a little while later they were calling for some to clean the floor yes you guessed it he and the wife did the same thing and walk kiss and leave I don't know what these people are thinking about it is just nasty

 

Halfway Agree with @Allow Me. I got stuck one morning at a TS in Little Rock because some ####### "made a spot" in front of about 4 trucks and none of us could move. Took an hour to get the prick out of they way.

 

Honestly I feel horrible for anyone who works at a truckstop. With the dirty nasty things that work in this industry now. Hats off to your daughter for putting up with it.

 

I warn her about the little bigs that come In there one day i was there getting fuel and one of them was up set so go like this slap the sh$t out of you I needs to go I told him I would pay you to put your hands on my daughter but first make plans were you want your body to be shipped he said I will slap the pi## out of you two sure let's go he turned around and see 6ft2 310 pounds let's just say he walked out like a little boy I respect my fellow driver but I love my daughter he would not have made it home

 

Every time one of those bozos I run into at the cheeseplant gives me that "you're single, how come you're not over-the-road" garbage, I show them threads like these and videos of truckstop parking follies!!!

 

A list of cheap motels that have truck parking would be great. Someone should create an app for that.

 

Along with some apps for fresh food availability at the convenience store, another one for available parking at any given truck stop, and my very favorite; "Is the gym full" app.

 

I like otr I just hate the way a few act. And I'm not knocking on any company or group. There's bad apples in every bunch. But I do feel for the people that work at the truckstops and have to deal with the ridiculous crap they do day in and day out. Like I said I like otr but hate the way some drivers act.
