Kinda sounds like they are wanting to change it again to make people that don't drive trucks happy.
Why don't they just put timers on all trucks so that they can only run 6 hrs a day, monday thru friday? Is that not what all those groups want??? Oh, wait! The stores may not get their merchandise to sell at Christmas!!!

The idiots behind everyone of these lawsuits that happens has no clue. They don't think about if trucks don't run up and down the road they can't buy ANYTHING including food. People need to get a ####### clue!

That's alright - eventually, the freight will just stop moving. I am so tired of these stupid organizations (eg: PATT) ruining our profession.

you guys are looking at this all wrong. They have to change the rules so we can get confused again and have something to talk about, right now people are getting bored as they start understanding.

The sad part is no matter what new HOS rules they come out with, these so called truck safety industry groups(who are funded by the railroads and the insurance industry I might add) will never be happy, and they will file a challenge again. And you're right kajidono, they don't give a #### about protecting drivers. If they were why not address the real issues out here? Like ensuring a safe place to park at night, better yet...where do we park? How bout addressing how we're held up for hours on end at a shipper or receiver and then still expected to make our load on time? Nope you never see those groups when the real issues pop up. Their main goal is to get us off the road, period.

    lonewolf4ad and kajidono Thank this.

Protect the driver my #####. They want to make drivers get "quality rest" but when it comes to that time being done in a comfortable manner, like being able to idle the truck, they want nothing to do with an issue like that. If they are for protecting the driver why not fight the conditions that prohibit driver from getting adequate rest in the first place instead of trying to keep drivers from being able to drive? These so called "safety advocacy groups" are are the same idiots who won't keep score at their children's soccer games because "everyone's a winner". Out of touch douche bags.
