Ohhhh electronic id’s. Something that would make inspection of autonomous trucks a breeze. Not that clunky way they showed last month. Inch by inch.

Maybe they will just mail tickets to those parked on ramps since they will have all info . Same goes for construction speeders . We’re tracked in so many ways already so it hardly matters ..

Yup. Maybe insurance will make you install an app on your phone to get a better rate and track your driving habits and speeds. Possible you know.

Don’t we already have something like this that’s supposed to save time on inspections like that DriveWyze and PrePass?

Yep it's called a license plate. I know, I know not exactly the same. With the plate and the MC we have to display, any law enforcement officer should be able to get all the required paperwork.
No need for a paid subscription. That's another expense I don't want.

How can accidents go down when you are in a race with a 14 hour clock?

Clock is ticking when using paper too, but….. if you’re 2 minutes or 10 minutes over on your paper log, alarms are not going off back at corporate….

Generally speaking eliminating redundant or needlessly complicated in favor of a single easier to use system is not a bad idea.

But if you dont beleive absolutely ANY regulation or technology in the past present or future wont ultimately be used against you, well, thats just lack of imagination on your part. Anyone with an agenda and more creativity will prove how naive your world view is
