I'm sure it sucks to be an hour from home and out of hours but you'd better figure something else out

Give yourself a few days off, do a logbook reeducation . That's what the safety department s do.

You'll need shop receipts showing the shop was test driving it, or something comparable.

That's almost enough to make a person wonder what the driver thought would happen.

If you are empty, not advancing towards a load, cant you just pull over before you run out of hours and switch over to PC and go home?

consistently going over on HOS is a sure trip to getting hammered on.

150 mile radius and you can run on the short haul exemption, and you’ll be able to run paper logs for 8 days in a 30 day period so you can still do some longer loads if you choose.

Personally, I'd be more concerned about a large increase in insurance premiums, if not outright cancellation....

Good luck getting your insurance renewed. Sounds like you need to take this stuff seriously. It’s not a game or joke. I definitely would be worried and concerned if I was you. For sure.

The cop told me on the phone the worse is an unsatisfactory score. Does that really not get you insured?

Yep, read my post in your other thread.

I bought a fleet with a suspended authority, the guy let these violations grow and was put out of business because of it. The fmcsa and the state both considered it bad business practices.

Nope. Not a valid use of PC. Per the guidelines.
