I'd even agree with most you guys, that it was "one hour" away from home....IF it was a one time thing. But OP has admitted it was a regular occurrence. That to me says poor trip planning or managing his clock. That is dangerous.

Large companies get these semi often. Called a DOT audit they come and look at all logs and violations

Unlikely. He admitted in his first post it was because he's had multiple log violations. The only way FMCSA would know that is during an inspection a violation was written up.Wasted Thyme Thanks this.

DOT will give you some time ( 60days or so) to fix current issues, and prove that you will be in compliance from now on , before putting company out of service.
