Dave, i swear your as bad as any millenial, making excuses for everything. In the interview they specifically said that the driver needs to be ready to show that a passed up stop was full, so how else would you prove its full?

All I have ever wanted was some common sense HOS changes and all they did was F up a perfectly good PC rule. Probably lose PC altogether after a bunch of Yahoo's start turning 4,000 miles a week because they can't find parking. Lol
DSK333, gentleroger, driverdriver and 1 other person Thank this. -
You're 100% at the officers discretion if your employ this. You can't prove it's full, it's impossible.
And just like the IRS in an audit, the burden of proof is going to be on you.gentleroger Thanks this. -
I gotta pull this one out of the vault for the sky is falling, Dave.
Oxbow Thanks this. -
I disagree with @Dave_in_AZ on pretty much everything, yet I made the same arguments he has to my fleet manager this morning.
This is a knee jerk reaction to elds that is short sighted. It clarifiys nothing, obscufates everything, and leaves the driver on the hook.
How many times gave you circled the lot, found no spots, then as you went for the exit a spot opens up? Michigan couldn't get the open spot count working in Battle Creek and abandoned the "spots available sign" project. Its a burden of proof a driver can't meet.
Fun fact, epa v colorado mining says that NO ONE has to accept the guidence, the underlying rule is king. If the regulatory agency issues guidence contrary to the rule, it has no force of law.Dave_in_AZ, 06driver, sealevel and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've always used HOS as an excuse for parking in no parking zones. And so far it worked great. Not a single parking ticket. See, the problem is, most of my deliveries are from 10pm to 2am. By the time I am empty, which is usually around 2:30 am, the "nearest safe place to park" will be jam packed anyway.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -

Why did you move if you were out of hours?
-
Aren't you the super trucker.
Breaking all the rules and working like
A dog for not a penny more than anybody else.
Just working more hours for less money.
But you got it all figured out. -
That does bear an amazing resemblence to my one tabby.
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
