FMCSA proposes ban on handheld phone use while driving

Sooner or later there has to be a lawsuit for unequal law enforcement as it applies to truckdrivers, as we are discriminated against.

 

I agree... and truckers should not be allowed to drink any coffee or water while they are driving...geezzz - how irresponsible is that!!!

And no eating is allowed while driving either- all that donut frosting gets on the steering wheel and the driver can't even hold onto the steering wheel without it slipping out of their hands....

And no talking on a cb radio....that is pure lunacy and so unsafe!!!! It is an unnecessary risk of taking one hand off the steering wheel just to talk on the cb!!!!

And it should be illegal to have an FM radio in the truck, as you take your eyes off the road to see what channel your XM radio is on.....that should be against the law!!!

And it should be illegal to look at a map while you are driving or to have a Garmin device, as they are worse than a cell phone in terms of distraction and inputting info into their keyboard.....there should be a $10,000 fine for having a Garmin in your truck....don't you all agree????
