They don't mind regulating us to death, there should be some transparency in that area.

Love the comment left by Ann at the bottom of that article, so true!!!
D.Tibbitt and Snailexpress Thank this. -
The transparency that everyone wants so bad would do nothing to bring the rates up. Still too many trucks and not enough loads, there would still be guys that would do it cheaper just to be working. All it will do is hurt everyone in this industry, from those who haul direct on down to the brokered loads.Brettj3876 and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

Why not have a regulation that gets drivers before they go in business?
Snailexpress Thanks this. -
D.Tibbitt, dunchues and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

Because there’s not enough freight for brokers or trucks right now! Like always they have to fill a need if there’s not a need there’s no moneyclausland and longhaultransport Thank this.

Kind of like the ventilators for the pandemic. they really didn’t need that many but everybody was screaming for them, so they made them I bet you could buy a bunch of them pretty cheap now! There just really wasn’t the need.
TokyoJoe and longhaultransport Thank this. -
How many really think that if this transparency thing was to work that it would solve low rates? Please explain.
What is it about a transparency rule that is going to stop a broker from taking whatever amount they want out of the freight cost? -
The brokers are more interested in hiding their margins from the shippers they work for. If a shipper pays $1,000 to move a load, and the broker finds a carrier that will do it for $300, the shipper will think twice about using that broker again.jsnell, tommymonza and Phantom Trucker Thank this.

I see. Thanks.
