Has anyone here get there dot medical examine after the new rule started? Have a co-worker who has been in limbo for 2 weeks unable to work waiting on the fmsca to transmit to state. Not sure if there is a backlog or fmsca is securitizing past cards or current card.

Huh…I had my physical on June 24th. Got my card and brought it with me the next day for the test to get my CLP. No problems.

It's a new FMSCA rule that the clinic you go to has to electronically send them your long form and medical card by the next day and then they send it to the states dmv.
co-worker went to his primary doctor to get his medical card and they screwed up by sending the FMSCA the past year info. Pretty crappy way to use up all your pto on their error.

Several states are not in compliance yet, so you're probably one of the ones still doing it the old fashion way. co-worker went to the dmv a couple times but they just threw their hands up, nothing we can do about it.

Depends on the state. I went to a chiropractor last week, got a 2 year, file uploaded. Called the state dmv 30 minutes later and they confirmed the update. Chiropractor said some states aren't functioning yet. Called the carrier I lease to, they pulled an mvr while I was on the phone, verified and updated. That call was just a few minutes. Technology is great when it works

Yes, it's a new rule. I got my new DOT card a few days before the new rule started. I got a letter from the state, read it, didn't understand it.

The feds are the Rick James of the Transportation world. Habitual line steppers that need a serious check from the states.

My company has been advising that the drivers allow a 90 day grace period for driver credentials to be processed. My DOT physical is due up in October this year. I had better have it done by August if I want to be able to drive...

Tennessee has their #### together on this. Got mine on the 24th and it was attached to my license with the state the next day. We were still advised to get our physicals about 2-3 weeks in advance just in case.
