I just got another email from J J Kelleher trying to sell some more stuff. Not that it is bad but they have a lot to sell us. This ad spoke of the new FMCSA Roadability rules taking effect this Dec. has anyone heard of these rules if so could you please update myself and others as to what they are. I am sure it is a way to get more money from us.. Remember it's not a safety issue it's all about money.

I haven't heard of any new rules, I'm interested to hear what they are. But you're probably right, more hoops to jump through, more ways to get money from us. JJ Keller has a lot of good products, but anytime the DOT come out with any new rules, they milk it for all its worth. Once you buy something from them, every week its something else in the mail, "Buy this, buy that, or the big, bad DOT will come and get you!"

It deals with the CSA 2010.
There are threads on it and you can get alot of information. -
The Roadability rule has to do with Intermodal chassis owners. Effective 12/01/2009 all Intermodal chassis owners must obtain a US DOT number and will be subject to Parts 390 for registration, 393 for equipment requirements and 396 for maintenance.
