I agree with robn. It's an accounting thing. They most likely have a relationship and account system that keeps the sheets balanced so when a student flies they are essentially adding an expense not normal on the books so it's an internal accounting policy. I wouldn't worry too much about that. From the sound of it Central is on the up and up and you'll get your flight money back, just in time when we all probably could use the extra cashola.

That's just unacceptable. We as a society should not condemn the youth for life. I bet if we all had powerful lawyers for daddies we'd be fine.
I believe everyone should have a second chance. Sorry bro. -

Hey Big Rigg, maybe you can make some crocpot breakfast's like KFC bowls and such. Throw in some sausage, eggs, peppers, cheese potatoes and let it cook like a casserole. You ever had breakfast casserole? My sister makes it and it rocks. I now make it at our house and it would most definitely be an item on my OTR menu...That's if I get into a school.
Can't thank you enough for this thread. It's been invaluable and has me chompin' at the bit to get started...
Oh and I thought Central did allow dogs? -

Hey Chompi, thanks for the info. Great stuff.
Question:
It looks like both solo and teams have there advantages so is it possible to say go solo for a while then team then solo or do they frown on you jumping back and forth?
It seems that doing solo is good for the "space" and "freedom" aspect but perhaps from time to time one may want to team for its benefits but on a temporary basis. Your thoughts. Thanks. -

Where would you check out truckers singles? What is this? Thanks Chompi. -
I had to call and leave lots of messages and send them emails daily if not twice a day. The emails seem to work better then the calls. My work history was messed up too but still got in so just keep on top of them.
They used to but no longer. Some of the older drivers still have dogs because they were grandfathered in. Some of the newer drivers have dogs too but are not supposed to they just get away with it. The main thing with dogs is if they are trained not to tear up your truck. If you are a company driver the dog better be very well trained if you lease you can get away with it a little more.Conscious Mechanism Thanks this. -
Thanks Rigg, My hound is almost 9 years old so his days of chewing the entire couch and lounge chair ended 8 years ago after I whipped his ### for destroying the furniture, but he was 1 and I was away 12-14 hours a day, another reason why I want him with me because I know how much that bothered me to be away so long. He's a good dog, well behaved, and loves the open road.
I couldn't imagine being away for months at a time without my dawg!Last edited: Feb 16, 2012
